I'm Matt Lister and a Full Stack Developer
Hi there, I'm Matt. A recently graduated Full Stack Developer and I'm looking to become a Front End Developer. I'm 100% realistic and so hoping to start in the industry as a Junior Developer primarily. I love web development and I'm passionate and dedicated to what I do. I may have only just started in the industry but I've acquired a lot of skills and knowledge to help me get going. I've created my projects with HTML, CSS, JavaScript along with Python and Django. I've also created projects in Angular JS and Wordpress so I've had a lot of exposure to different working practices.I enjoy working on new projects, working within a team or on my own.

I am the front end developer at Avocet Hardware and I developed the Greenman Garden Tools Website and I've been working on a fully working E-Commerce Auction site for the company. This is currently being worked on ready for a live launch when finished.

I worked for Cropdesk Technologies on a project named Seasonal Jobs. A mobile application built with Ionic to allow seasonal crop workers to manage their own working patterns. Where they work, booking shifts and holidays.

I also made us the number 1 search result for IT, Telecoms and Cabling in South Yorkshire by buying and installing my own SEO. Learning new technologies within Wordpress and how it's developed was sometimes difficult but interesting.

I looked after the Sheffield City Council ArcGIS mapping system for their website. Using SQL, Python and Flask. This included adding new mapping layouts to the SCC website for users looking for locations. Similar to Google Maps.

I initially started as a hardware engineer visiting sites all over Sheffield until we became more remote due to new technology introduced. A lot of the support was looking after the software as well including SQL databases.

Web Design
When designing, i think about the user experience firstly. Within UX, you have to think of the images, the fonts and colours and these are something i spend a great deal of time researching. A client needs to be engaged the moment they start using the site. Designing is a fantastic experience and creating the customers vision is something I'm passionate about.
Web Developer
In Web Development, I've worked on both Front and Back End projects and as a software developer graduate, Full Stack Development is the section my Diploma is being used. I've created multiple E-Commerce projects with fully automated ordering and credit card payment systems. I've worked with multiple languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and Django, Angular JS and some PHP.
Seo Optimisation
As the lead content designer for my last job, I took ownership of the site from the original developers. The business had no web presence and so any searches did not show our company as a competitor in the market. The first thing I did was to add SEO to the site as it wasn't present. Within 2 weeks with the right meta data and search terms, we were the number one company when searching for IT, Telecoms and Cabling in South Yorkshire. This is a service I can offer to any business to showcase them online and help build their company in today's market.
Logo Design
For each site I've designed, I've created the main header titles. Producing a logo is a personal experience to the company or the site itself. With so many sites allowing a designer to create a logo, it's a wide spread industry and such a compelling area to work in.

Responsive Web Design
Responsive Web design is such a key element in web design today, no site cannot utilise it. There are third party applications such as BootStrap which can help develop an awesome responsive design using their tailor made templates.
Creative Slideshow
Using a Creative Slideshow on a web site can utilise and showcase so much content. Whether your site is about food or selling a product. A user will be able to see great content without leaving the homepage. If it's a new product and why the user is there, that product should be part of the slideshow.
Image Gallery Lightbox
Using a Lightbox on a site can help display multiple images as a photo gallery or album. It helps a user run through images fast and efficiently by clicking on thumbnail images and then brings the image up in full. It allows you to put all your images in one location so they are all visible.
3D Websites
3D websites built with three.js gives websites such a defining structure. They're not the norm because they can give a new dynamic to a website... literally. Writing this new code is something I'm venturing into for my next project so I'm hoping to share it with you soon.
